We had a local move from 3 storage units to our new house. It was as a ton of stuff and required 2 trucks. We were so impressed by these guys. Incredible care of our things and gracious to a fault. The level of service was beyond exceptional all the way through. They worked their tails off from 9am - 6pm and delivered quality even after I knew they were exhausted. 4 guys, 2 trucks. So impressed by this company. I’d hire them again in a heartbeat. Worth it.
Phenomenal company and service. Ferguson moved us about 40-miles from one side of the greater Cincinnati area to the other side. Our move could not have been smoother. They arrived on time, had all the supplies and manpower needed, and loaded and unloaded an eight room, two-story house in about 9-hrs including transit time. The workers were courteous, personable, professional, and worked efficiently. They wrapped (in moving blankets) and taped every piece of furniture we had right down to the TV trays. They also put cardboard down on the floors at both houses to protect them. Not a single thing was broken. At the end of the day there was not a single nick, ding, scratch, or dent in any of the furniture or in the floors or on walls of the house we moved from or the house into which we moved. The final bill wasn't one cent over the original estimate, even though I'm sure it probably took more time than originally estimated. By the way, the original estimate was significantly lower than other services, and which I know from previous experience doesn't provide the same level of care for your belongings. I think one of the keys to Ferguson's great service is that the entire work crew were all long-time employees of Ferguson experienced in packing and moving, and not just local day laborers. I would highly recommend Ferguson and, although I hope I'm done moving now, wouldn't consider using any other company.
I'm happy with these guys! I hired Ferguson for a trans-Canada move which was carried out by Great Canadian and then by Riverbend.
The move went well. They were on time and handled everything well. No damage was done to any of my items. After they had left I remembered my son's handheld Nintendo was left under a couch they moved. I went back to the first location to retrieve it and it was missing. I called and left a message with Ferguson. The owner called back; he was very nice on the phone but was positive that his employees did not see the Nintendo. I looked in every possible location at the old house. I emptied every box and looked in every storage container at my new home and the Nintendo is nowhere to be found. My son is Autistic and as a result has some OCD tendencies, He thinks he is being sneaky by hiding his Nintendo under the couch. He always keeps it there. We have the same routine each night. Where he plays it just before bath time and then puts it under the couch when his bath is ready. I know it was there prior to the move. It's a $200 video game system. After having to pay $500 for the move and then to have such an expensive item missing at the end. I would not recommend these movers.
In my own experience, Ferguson (and the resulting sub-contractors) provided clear info, good communication, and follow through. They followed the recommendations from CAM.
She was also very communicative and kind. She took the time to explain things to me (I am new to this so I had lots of questions).
Juville did my quote in person. The price came out to a bit cheaper after the weighing was done. Very impressed by the accuracy. Even if it turned out a bit more I'd be impressed.
I didn't end up using this company because they in their own words they are more into local moves, nothing wrong with that. They were very up front and directed me to another mover who they thought I could get a better deal at. It' not often a company will point you toward a competitor to benefit you, I respect them a lot for it.
Highly recommend.
After much research, I can say you should skip the cheap movers. The cheap movers seem to have common negative qualities in their reviews such as no upfront insurance terms, no in-person quote, bad communication, and more. They also don't show up in the CAM certified lists.
