Overpriced. Our appetizer of four shrimp drowning in an overpowering garlic sauce was almost 20 bucks. The service was just OK. Our waiter was very soft spoken and didn't seem to know the menu very well. The cuts of meat were great quality and they were cooked just how we requested, but they were seasoned so heavily that it ruined the steaks. They were so salty and over-seasoned that we had to constantly ask for more water which was slow to come. Great wine selection but no beer on tap. Get with the times and get some decent craft beer on tap. For 265 bucks (with tip) for 2 people, I expected better.
My husband and I had dinner at Morton's last night and the food was outstanding. However, the service was anything but " legendary" which is how it's advertised. The server had way too many tables and no support. He tried, but really management should have intervened. When we talked to the manager, he did not appear to hear our concerns.
Food itself was decent - large steak - properly cooked. Tables a bit sticky and a bit dark environment around. Stuff - friendly
Great place for steak. We had a group of 100 people and they handled everything perfectly. I highly recommend this restaurant.
I disliked it for the price. The food was okay but nothing spectacular for the price point. If I am going to pay $45 for a steak I expect it to be cooked to perfection. It took them two tries to cook it correctly. I wanted it medium. The first time was well done and the second time it was rare. We shared the lyonnaise potatoes and they seemed over cooked and bland. We were with a large party so perhaps this was the reason but I definitely would not return on my own.
