My daughter was taken to Christ Hospital Emergency after an automobile accident. She had broken ribs.
Went to see the Pulmonary over some issues I was having with my lungs. I usually see Dr. Orabella and he is amazing. I had to see Felicia, the PA, because he was backed up. I told her I was feeling really bad and she completely blew me off. Said I sounded fine (even though I could literally hear myself wheezing). 2 weeks later I was still getting worse, so I broke down and went to the ER. I had pneumonia. Still recovering. I will never settle for her again.
I had surgery to review a deviated septum on June 2 2017. The surgery went well and I have no criticism for the doctors involved. But the post-surgery care was non-existent. Very limited direction was given as to how to change bandages despite substantial bleeding and discharge. No direction to avoid drinking electrolytes to treat my dehydration due to avoiding water since midnight as I was having surgery. When I drank the electrolytes it was like drinking cut glass - incredibly painful. I have a very high pain threshold - I cannot imagine what a child would go through if they had drank what would be considered a good product to drink for dehydration. How could they not warn the patient? Because they have no accountability.
No response to my complaints so far and we'll see if they will offer any reduction in their billings for their substandard treatment. But I went to Christ because of The Mercy System's derelict offerings and billings so it appears the whole health system is infected with bloated and incompetent bureaucracies. Again - no problem with the doctors involved but the Christ Hospital staffing and procedures are pitiful.
Incredible!!!!!!
My wife had outpatient breast surgery at Christ Hospital following a possible cancer diagnosis. Dr. Sandra Miller was fantastic, along with her staff. The staff we encountered at all areas of the hospital were extremely nice. Pre Op and Post Op Care was excellent and the medical staff went above and beyond to provide great care. We'd highly recommend Christ Hospital.
I took my sister to the Christian Hospital for a skin disorder. The service was terrible. Over 6.5 hours to see a doctor. The hospital was not busy. The charge nurse was rude and loud. She interrupted constantly and did not introduce herself, she just started interrupting and yelling at the patient. The hospital did not provide service timely. The only reason that my sister received service is because she attempted to leave and go to another hospital. Even the docter on duty indicated it was too long a wait. There is much room for improvement at Christ. The hospital then tried to blame their lack of performance on me saying that there was anger for having to wait for 6.5 hours. Not true. Christ hospital needs to address patients timely and stop making excuses for their lack of staffing. Shame on Christ hospital. Please address the loud and aggressive charge nurse. You can do better. You would not provide service until a patient wanted to leave the hospital for no service.
I am sure she will get billed for an MD even though one never spoke to her or examined her.
Not once did she see an MD during the 4 hours she was there. You would think that a real doctor would make an appearance upon diagnosis and release if nothing else.
