Sometimes the employees don't know that much about the products but you can look things up online. Ulta usually has everything you need and more. Ultra is the only store EVER to struggle at the register to figure out how to give the customer less $ on an exchange or return when a coupon was used. Very petty considering it's $3.50 and Ulta opens hundreds of stores every year since they opened. They don't pay their employees well at all either. And have a very high turn over rate at all their stores.
Staff is rude and incredibly unhelpful. When I asked a staff member a question she didn't know the answer to, instead of admitting she didn't know, she gave me an incorrect answer. Additionally, while browsing the store I overheard an exchange between a customer and employee. The customer came in to get an eyebrow tint and wax. They were out of tint and neglected to call the customer and inform her before she came in, despite having made the appointment 4 days prior.
If I could give them 0 stars I would!! Made an appointment on my wedding day last month and they got me in the salon for my hair 35 minutes past my appointment time, were unapologetic and I ended up being late getting my hair finished as well! By the time I got back to the ceremony site I had 20 minutes left to do my makeup, nails, lashes & get dressed!! Needless to say, I didn't get to do my lashes or nails...and my makeup wasn't what I wanted it to be on my special day. Not only that but my updo was falling down DURING THE CEREMONY!! I've had to edit all my pictures because the "stylist" did a horrible job. :(
The salon management has barely apologized to me and it took over a week to get a refund for my hair appointment. I live almost an hour away and to get my refund I have to travel back to the salon with my receipt to get it. I will NEVER go to ULTA beauty for ANYTHING ever again. This store is a joke and cares nothing about their customers!! STAY AWAY!!
I'd rate in the negatives if I could. -5 starts sounds about right for this place. Never ever coming back here again. Not only was the stores customer service horrible, the company is trash as well. When I lived in Florida, Ulta has always been my go to makeup store. I'm now in Cincinnati. I ordered a new rewards card since mine was left back home. The lady on the phone said it would arrive from 7 to 14 business days. A few days later I got paid and decided to go restock on my favorite foundation, a new blending brush and a Stila eyeliner. My experience was terrible. I have never felt the way I did while I was there. The girls gave me the dirtiest look but no greeting. So my boyfriend and I pay no mind to it and I continue looking around. That's when one of the girls finally approached us asking if I needed help finding anything. I politely declined the help I wanted to see what type of new product I might consider trying out. I'm browsing through aisles when about 10 minutes later my boyfriend whispers to me, I think they're following us. I agreed. Every time I would walk down one was either on the other aisle or peeking over to the one I was walking through. As if I was going to shoplift. Mind you I'm not Caucasian and I'm not African American either, we're Hispanics. I look Asian but my boyfriend looks mixed. I immediately felt uncomfortable and felt rushed out the store. Especially around the check out when I was looking at the travel sized items when the girl kept asking if we were ready with a horrible attitude. Honestly I wanted to drop all my items and leave but I didn't want my boyfriend to feel like we drove almost 30 minutes away for nothing. No fast forwarding to the card I had ordered. It's now been almost 3 weeks and still nothing. I hope it stays that way since I no longer will continue to shop here. I've been so bothered by it that still almost 3 weeks later I could not forgot to file a complaint. You can find me at Sephora across the street in the Kenwood Mall. I read all the other reviews as well, management needs to take action before this goes to a corporate level. Ulta Beauty is now running a circus.
In the same day I visited the Sephora at the mall, and they were all extremely helpful, polite and took their time with me. I think you get what you pay for - don't waste your time at this Ulta.
The customer service at this store is horrendous. I went in for a specific product and they were extremely rude and unhelpful. 4-5 employees walked by me chatting and laughing before I was asked if I needed help. And by asked, the man said to me "you want help" not as a question but as if my presence in the store was inconveniencing him. Then when they didn't have the product I was looking for, he said "I'm all out" and didn't offer an alternative product, apology, or solution (I.e. Shipping it to my home). There is a reason brick and mortar stores are closing and customers order online exclusively. If I could give this location a 0 I would.
