It is so hard to find an all natural pet store where I don't have to worry about reading the labels and wondering if I'm being tricked into thinking something is healthy for my cat and dogs. At Bentley's I don't have that worry anymore, everything in the store is safe. It's just a matter of finding what my babies like and what works best for them.
Went there for the first time Saturday 9/23/17. Bought a ham bone for my pit bull. I have never bought one of them for my dog before. I assumed every treat in their treat section would be safe for consumption. Just like you would give a baby food labeled as "snack" or " treats" because she's a dog. Ended up throwing up multiple times over Saturday and Sunday and had to take her to the vet on Monday morning. Got an X ray to make sure no bones stabbed her intestines, Did a lot of reading on ham bones for dogs and turns out several companies have been sued for mis labeling them as safe because the dogs ended up dying of Pancreatitis or Peritonitis. Why even sell these kinds of products? If there is a 1% my dog will die because she ate a treat designed as a treat, take it off your shelf immediately.
I didn’t get the names of the two women who helped me but we visited this location for the first time today (10/11/2017) and I will continue to go back here for the rest of my time owning a doggo. These women were extremely knowledgeable and able to tell me what kind of food to switch my border collie puppy to since he was running a little hot and pants a lot. They also showed me how to clip his nails. Thank you so much for helping me improve on being a better dog mom!
Place is great! The employee knew about all of their products. And got a great swag bag of samples! It’s an experience. Fun place to be
