Thank heavens there is a decent hardware store close to downtown (Walnut Hills) without having to run way out the mid-burbs to go to a big box store where nobody has a clue what is going on. Run by trained and seasoned personnel, if one person can 't answer your question they keep asking around until someone can. Prices are (understandably) a bit higher and selection narrower, but they've never been without something that I've been seeking.. A hidden jewel in Walnut Hills!
Very friendly and helpful staff, competitive pricing. I love being able to shop at a family run place instead of the big boxes. We support local businesses.
I bought paint from there on several occasions and let me tell you, It was the experience of a lifetime! Especially with the help from that young handsome devil David (the one with a beard) OMG I'm a Life Time customer!!!
