Buyer beware of the very stringent 30 day return policy. Even if it's still brand new and in the box, they will not return the item nor give you credit of any kind. I bought a 36" oven hood for a kitchen remodel that turned into a kitchen rebuild. I no longer need this type of hood. Did I mention it's new, unopened and in the box? When I initially returned it, the employee took the box from my hands and gave me a credit slip for the sales register. At the register they asked when I bought the hood and when my answer was over 30 days ago he actually crumpled the credit slip up in his hands and told me to go back and get my item back from the clerk. I walked incredulously back to my car with the hood in my hand and drove back home. I've returned very few things in my life. No budging at all by Sears. Very disappointing. Bye bye Sears.
Best Buy, Sears, JCPenney, and Home Depot sell aplliances, they don't stock them.
There's only one store in Cincinnati with a large supply of most of the appliances they sell, Lowes!
Sears provides TERRIBLE customer service. And terrible products. We bought a refrigerator 3 years ago and it's already shutting down and requiring a new compressor. After 3 visits over 2 months it's still not repaired. Today we had our repair scheduled from 8 to 11. Now they're telling us they will be there around 3. You can't call to file a complaint because customer service is shipped to India, so there is no one in the states to actually talk to. I will never buy from Sears.
One salesperson, nothing in stock. When a refrigerator goes out you need a fast replacement. The sales guy tried really hard, but they have very few refrigerators in stock.
