Cool nice I like it library history
This is definitely an historic library and a smart place to visit in downtown. In addition to old books, they have a surprisingly complete collection of the latest releases, magazines, and papers. If you join you will also be invited to interesting lectures and events during the year...many are free. We have a family membership ($90/year) and it is well worth it.
The Mercantile Library is not just a historic treasure, it is an active and vibrant library filled with both books and people who reflect the intrepid spirit of Cincinnati. The events are rich, the space perfectly suited to learning without a hint of pretension, and the staff dedicated to the mission. I don't think I will let another friend visit Cincinnati without letting them experience this gem.
